Perbandingan Deposito Bank Konvensional dan Bank Syariah: Analisis Konseptual dan Implikasi Ekonomi
Keywords:
Deposits, Dual Banking System, Banking StabilityAbstract
This research aims to analyze the comparison of conventional bank deposits and Islamic bank deposits from the aspects of conceptual foundations, return mechanisms, depositor behavior, competition and banking stability. This study is relevant because in a dual banking system, deposits not only function as an instrument for collecting funds, but also reflect customer preferences for financial intermediation models. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study design, content analysis, and comparative conceptual analysis. Data was obtained from academic literature, regulations, financial authority reports, and official documents relevant to conventional and sharia deposits. The research results show that conventional deposits rely on an interest mechanism which emphasizes certainty of return, while sharia deposits are based on mudharabah contracts with returns based on the ratio and performance of fund management. However, these findings indicate that sharia deposits are not yet completely free from the influence of conventional interest rates because depositors still compare yields between banks. This research contributes to clarifying the relationship between interest mechanisms, profit sharing, depositor rationality, displaced commercial risk, and banking stability in the modern financial system.
