Akhlak dan Problematika Modern Islamic Morality and the Challenges of Modernity

Rapid global developments of the modern era, driven primarily by technological advancements and globalization, have brought significant changes to society, including lives and habits of the Muslim community. On one hand, these advancements offer various conveniences. However, on the other hand, they also present new challenges, particularly regarding akhlak (Islamic ethics). In modern life, phenomena such as declining communication ethics, the misuse of social media, and a surge in individualism are increasingly strong. These conditions highlight ethical problems that need serious attention. This paper aims to discuss the importance of akhlak in Islam and examine various moral issues that arise within modern society. Through this discussion, it's expected that readers will gain an understanding that akhlak plays a crucial role in a Muslim’s life, while also recognizing that the importance of moral values must continue to be upheld.
