This study examines a dhikr (remembrance) practice implemented within a Sufi order (tariqa) rooted in the teachings of the Egyptian Sufi master, Sheikh Ibrahim ad-Dasuqi (d. 676 AH), which has grown rapidly in Indonesia, namely the Thariqah Dusuqiyah Muhammadiah. Due to its widespread expansion, this order has become a subject of intense discussion in various circles involving religious leaders and the general Muslim community. The primary focus of this research is to analyze how the spiritual teachings of the Thariqah Dusuqiyah Muhammadiah are internalized and manifested in the dhikr practices of its adherents based on the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah (Sunni) doctrine. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical and interpretative method to uncover the dialectical relationship between the theological dimension and spiritual praxis. The findings are expected to demonstrate that within the Thariqah Dusuqiyah Muhammadiah, which is widely widespread in Indonesia, dhikr is not positioned merely as a normative ritual. Instead, it serves as an existential foundation that directs and shapes spiritual practice as a means to internalize theological values in order to achieve proximity to Almighty God, based on the Islamic teachings of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah. This study is expected to provide an academic contribution to the development of Sufi theological studies and the study of Sufi orders, particularly regarding the integration of theological thought and spiritual experience within the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah tradition.
