This research aims to compare the legal protection between Indonesia and Malaysia regarding the rights of wives in polygamous marriages, from the perspective of Islamic family law and human rights. This research method uses literature analysis by studying laws and regulations, scientific journals, and books related to the research topic. The results show that Indonesia and Malaysia have different regulations in governing polygamy, but both have the same goal of protecting the rights of wives and children. The research also found that legal protection for the rights of wives in polygamous marriages in Malaysia is more specific and detailed compared to Indonesia. Therefore, Indonesia can learn from Malaysia's experience in regulating polygamy and improving legal protection for the rights of wives and children.
