Abstrak

This study aims to describe the process of internalizing NWDI (Nahdlatul Wathan Diniyah Islamiyah) values and its impact on shaping the religious character of students (santri) at Ribath Almusthofa NWDI Sira Islamic Boarding School. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the internalization of NWDI values is carried out integrally across three stages: value transformation through the NWDI curriculum and classical Islamic book studies (pengajian kitab), value transaction through the exemplary role modeling of teachers (asatidz), and trans-internalization through the habituation of daily cultural practices such as the recitation of Tarekat Hizib Nahdlatul Wathan, congregational prayers, and boarding school discipline. This process significantly fosters students' religious character, as reflected in devotional steadfastness, noble character (akhlaq al-karimah), humility (tawadu'), and loyalty to Islamic and organizational endeavors. This study underscores the vital role of local organizational and Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah (Aswaja) curricula as a foundation for character education within Islamic boarding school environments.
