Factors Causing Domestic Violence

Abstract

This research aims to find out what factors are the causes of domestic violence (CDV). Domestic violence is all forms of violence committed against a partner in both verbal and non-verbal forms. The law that regulates domestic violence, which is stated in Law No. 23 of 2004 concerningthe Elimination of Domestic Violence (UUPKDRT). This research uses a literature study approach to uncover findings from previous sources related to domestic violence. Literature review using Google Scholar for the last 10 years from 2015-2025. Domestic violence often occurs against more vulnerable individuals, especially women, and can be perpetrated by spouses or other family members. Domestic violence includes four types, namely physical, psychological, sexual, and neglect violence, with detrimental effects on victims both physically and mentally.
