Abstract

Junior high school education is a transitional period between childhood and adulthood. This transitional period expects students to understand and practice moral teachings by upholding the principles of the Quran and Hadith, which will serve as a guide for life in the future. This study employed field research with a qualitative descriptive nature. The data sources used were primary and secondary data. Furthermore, the data collection methods employed were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employed qualitative data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data display , and conclusion drawing and verification. The first research result obtained was that the implementation of Islamic value-based guidance and counseling to improve student morals at SMP Negeri 2 Batukliang Utara was running as expected and was quite optimal.
