Abstract

Premarital counseling based on Islamic values is a preventive approach that aims to comprehensively prepare individuals before entering married life. This study aims to analyze the concept of premarital counseling from an Islamic perspective, identify the core values that underlie it, and examine its relevance in strengthening marital resilience in the modern era. The study used a qualitative approach with a literature review through a search for credible and relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that internalizing the values of sakinah (love), mawaddah (love), rahmah ( mercy), responsibility, and effective communication contribute to increasing couple readiness, preventing conflict, and strengthening marital stability. An integrative counseling approach between spiritual and psychological dimensions has proven more adaptive to contemporary social dynamics. Therefore, premarital counseling based on Islamic values plays a strategic role in building family resilience and reducing the potential for divorce in modern society
