Premarital Counseling, Islamic Values, Strengthening Marital Resilience, Modern EraAbstrak
Premarital counseling based on Islamic values represents a preventive approach aimed at preparing individuals comprehensively before entering marital life. This article examines the conceptual framework of premarital counseling within an Islamic perspective, identifies its foundational values, and analyzes its relevance in strengthening marital resilience in the modern era. The study employs a qualitative approach using a library research design by reviewing credible and relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that the internalization of values such as sakinah, mawaddah, rahmah, responsibility, and effective communication contributes significantly to enhancing couples’ readiness, preventing conflict, and promoting marital stability. An integrative counseling approach that combines spiritual and psychological dimensions is more adaptive to contemporary social dynamics. Therefore, Islamic value-based premarital counseling plays a strategic role in fostering family resilience and reducing the risk of marital dissolution in modern society.
